Hotel Tourist offered us exactly what we wanted during our week trip to Sorrento. Staff were typically Italian, left you to your own devises but were always there to assist from sneaking us in at 4am to tour/locality advice. The hotel is excellently located. 3 minute walk to train/bus station and 5 minute walk from Piazza Tasso. It is far enough away to be central but not over priced central hotel. Breakfast was sufficiant and generous. The pool area is beautiful to chill out and relax in and surprisingly quiet for a central city hotel.

We took a room with the balcony and the hotel is on a busy junction but is quiet by 9.30pm so if you need a quiet room take one on the swimming pool side of the hotel.

This hotel is excellent for the price. It is very convienient to rail/ bus station and 5 - 10 minute walk from main square in Sorrento. You will not get a hotel in a central location such as this, with a swimming pool, (which is necessary in mid summer), at a better price. The staff are all very friendly. and the traffic noise is not a problem if you keep the windows closed. Rooms are air conditioned which works best with closed windows anyway. Loved Sorrento - would go back tomorrow if I could - would stay at Hotel Tourist

Location was excellent. Hotel itself was clean, and well-kept. Staff was not particularly friendly, but not unfriendly either. Only set-back was the air-conditioning... it did not push a lot of cool air around, especially at night.

Location was excellent. Good budget hotel for a few nights

A bit loud in the mornings when groups arrive or leave but no noise problem at night, which allows good sleep.

we had to request that the air-conditioning be left on at night when humid.

The hotel was affordable, clean and had good facilities including a great pool. The staff were very good and our stay was thoroughly enjoyable.

The best thing about this hotel besides the price was the pool. However would have to say it was only one step up from a backpackers.

They kept turning off the airconditioning when we left the room as they controlled it all from reception and as it was 38 degrees while we were there we found the rooms very hot.

Easy to di d and easy walk into the centre of town. Small pool and facilities really good.

Room was a bit small for three adults. Bathroom likewise and needs a bit of updating.

Fair price for the location, 5 min walk from centre of sorrento. Hotel staff were friendly and the breakfast was good, large varity of continental breakfast. Very very clean, sun on pool for most of the day. Not a spectacular hotel but if your not planning on spending lots of time in there as you want to be out and about it is an overall nice stay.

I thought the extra price for the balconey was a bit steep considering the views were not FAB but if your a smoker its ideal!

The hotel was very close the the Circumvesuviana train that take you from Napoli to Sorrento, and Pompeii. It was very close to the Piazza with all the shopping. There were many super markets around the hotel. A car rental place, and a laundromat are right around the corner. The car rental is a very good price. I think it was called Jolly car/scooter rental. 32 Euro scooter rental for the day. We took the scooter all the way to Positano. What an amazing drive. The hotel has a pool which is small, but very clean with perfect temperature.

The beds were very uncomfortable. Just twins smushed together. The breakfast was decent, but if you weren't there early, everything was gone. The staff during breakfast were very rude. But, most of the time we didn't want to eat there because it was craziness. We would take our breakfast outside and eat it by the pool.

Awesome hotel! Everything was just great.Some things was even better than other - like perfect staff on reception and in restaurants (English is very good, especially after Rome), convenient swimming pool, and really huge balcony with sight of mountains (not wide, actually). Room cleaning was also perfect - they even cleaned our own glasses and plates.

The Internet should be free, I guess, and it will be more convenient with fridge.

Everything worked well and was very practically organised. The pool was glorious and very well looked after, as was the garden. The staff was extremely helpful in a down to earth kind of way.There was a dinner menu for 15e, which was excellent value. The location is superb. Sometimes a nice treat awaited us for breakfast, eg a savoury pie...!

The bed was too hard, otherwise nothing.
